Position Summary

La Caille is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, functionality, and appearance of maintenance facilities. This role is responsible for prioritizing maintenance needs that directly impact the guest experience across events, lodging accommodations, restaurant operations, and public spaces.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Guest Experience & Facility Maintenance

  • Prioritize maintenance requests that impact weddings, social events, lodging guests, restaurant patrons, and overall visitor experience.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, guest accommodations, event venues, restaurant facilities, equipment, fixtures, and furnishings.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, doors, windows, appliances, and general facility repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest-facing areas to identify and address maintenance concerns before they impact operations.
  • Maintain, and troubleshoot event-related infrastructure, including lighting, power access, and venue equipment.
  • Coordinate with management and department leaders to ensure facilities remain event-ready and guest-ready at all times.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks to extend the life of facilities and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
  • Assist with seasonal property preparation, weather-related maintenance, and emergency repairs as needed.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards or facility concerns.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, property maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
  • Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repair techniques.
  • Ability to operate maintenance tools, equipment, and small machinery safely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to safely perform physical labor throughout an entire shift.

Schedule

This position may require evenings, weekends, and holidays to support events, guest accommodations, and restaurant operations as business needs require.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
