The Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance throughout the behavioral health facility to ensure a safe, functional, and therapeutic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role supports daily facility operations by addressing work orders, maintaining building systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The position requires basic working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general maintenance practices.
Experience:
Prior maintenance, facilities, construction, or related hands-on experience preferred
Skills & Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely
Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow safety procedures and facility policies
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a healthcare or behavioral health setting
OSHA safety training
HVAC or electrical certification
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
