Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive, skilled and hands on Maintenance Worker to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our production environment by performing a wide range of maintenance tasks. Your expertise will help maintain optimal equipment functionality, uphold safety standards, and support continuous manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic facility where your skills directly impact productivity and safety. This is a critical role for keeping our shop running day-to-day, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in fixing problem, preventing downtime and keeping equipment in top condition.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on production equipment and machinery
- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues (motors, bearings, belts, etc)
- Troubleshoot basic electrical systems (motors, switches, sensors, wiring)
- Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime
- Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and document work performed
- Maintain maintenance logs and parts inventory
- Coordinate with production team to schedule repairs and maintenance
- Assist with installation and setup of new equipment as needed
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company standards
- Experience with waste water treatment or the ability to learn
Qualifications
- 3 plus years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude; ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge (120/240/480V a plus)
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to read manuals, schematics and technical documents
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Welding or fabrication skills
- Familiarity with PLC's (basic troubleshooting)
- Forklift or lift certification
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing, bending, and working in a production environment
- Ability to climb ladders and work in tight or elevated spaces
Work Environment
- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Exposure to machinery, noise and varying temperatures
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
