Overview
Join our dynamic facilities maintenance team as a Part-Time Maintenance Worker, where your skills will keep our residential and commercial spaces safe, functional, and welcoming. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance across residential and commercial facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general building repairs
- Use schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
- Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments to maintain equipment integrity
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults
- Complete facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing and drywall repairs to uphold property standards
- Maintain accurate records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance history and schedule future tasks
- Supervise or assist with small teams during projects or repairs when needed, demonstrating leadership qualities
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or tenant concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance environments
- Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
- Hands-on welding skills for repair and fabrication tasks
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated system troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques for aesthetic upkeep of properties
- Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
- Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities management roles is a plus
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and residents
- Basic leadership capabilities to guide junior staff or coordinate small project teams
