Maintenance Worker Part Time

Duties

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance across residential and commercial facilities, including plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC units, and general building repairs
• Use schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
• Conduct welding repairs and mechanical adjustments to maintain equipment integrity
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify electrical faults
• Complete facilities maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing and drywall repairs to uphold property standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track maintenance history and schedule future tasks
• Supervise or assist with small teams during projects or repairs when needed, demonstrating leadership qualities
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing resident or tenant concerns promptly and professionally

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance environments
• Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting, including reading schematics and using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters
• Hands-on welding skills for repair and fabrication tasks
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated system troubleshooting
• Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of residential painting techniques for aesthetic upkeep of properties
• Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping
• Supervising experience in maintenance or facilities management roles is a plus
• Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and residents
• Basic leadership capabilities to guide junior staff or coordinate small project teams
