Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker/Housekeeper to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper functioning of our residential facilities. This energetic role combines hands-on maintenance tasks with housekeeping responsibilities, supporting a well-maintained environment that promotes comfort and safety for residents and staff alike. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical aptitude, electrical experience, and strong customer service skills to deliver exceptional facility upkeep and resident satisfaction.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping duties, including residential painting, floor care, and general sanitation to maintain a welcoming environment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems, appliances, and fixtures to ensure operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; handle basic welding and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems to optimize facility performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects, including supervising team members or contractors when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes during all maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with electrical experience and familiarity with schematics.
- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other repair equipment.
- Experience with facilities maintenance in residential or manufacturing settings.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
- Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and electrical blueprints.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on resident satisfaction.
- Supervising experience in maintenance or housekeeping roles is preferred.
- Effective leadership qualities to guide team members and coordinate projects efficiently.
