Maintenance/Building Administrator

Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Maintenance/Building Administrator to oversee the daily operations and maintenance of our facilities. This vital role ensures that all building systems and equipment function smoothly, providing a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, electrical experience, and supervisory skills to lead maintenance activities, coordinate repairs, and support facility management initiatives. Duties

  • Manage and coordinate routine maintenance tasks across the facility, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Oversee facilities maintenance activities such as residential painting, welding, and troubleshooting schematics for repairs or upgrades.
  • Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently, safely, and according to standards.
  • Schedule work orders, track maintenance history, and manage inventory of parts and tools.
  • Conduct inspections using tools like ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Support manufacturing or operational processes by maintaining equipment functionality and other automation systems.
  • Lead safety initiatives related to facilities maintenance, including adherence to safety regulations and proper use of tools such as welders and electrical testers.
  • Collaborate with vendors or service providers for specialized repairs or installations while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety checks for audit purposes.

Experience

  • Proven supervisory experience in facilities or manufacturing maintenance roles with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by experience working with schematics, electrical systems.
  • Hands-on skills in welding, residential painting, electrical troubleshooting, and use of diagnostic tools.
  • Familiarity with managing work orders and maintenance records.
  • Knowledge of facilities maintenance best practices within manufacturing or large-scale residential/commercial environments.
  • Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate teams and interact with vendors or stakeholders.
  • Prior experience supervising maintenance teams in environments requiring adherence to safety standards is highly desirable.
