Maintenance/Houseman (Part-Time)

The 1906 Lodge is seeking candidates for Houseperson to join our Housekeeping and Maintenance Team. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the public areas and guests rooms of the hotel. This position will also assist the Maintenance and Housekeeping departments with projects as may be needed

Responsibilities

• Stock room attendant carts with supplies.
• Maintain organization, restock supplies and rotate linen in storerooms.
• Remove trash and dirty linens from room attendant carts/guest rooms.
• Regularly clean public areas including hallways, stairwells, parking lot, etc.
• Report maintenance problems and/or complete maintenance repair orders.
• Spot cleaning walls, carpets, light fixtures, etc.
• Deliver special request items such as cribs or other supplies to guest rooms.
• Clean guest room carpet with carpet extractor and appropriate machines.
• Perform preventative maintenance in conjunction with maintenance team.
• Report all items needing repairs and unsafe conditions to supervisor
• Be familiar with location and purpose of all shut-off valves and switches in the event of emergency.
• Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor or Manager. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. This includes helping the maintenance engineer with various maintenance projects as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous cleaning/maintenance experience a plus, but not required.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimal supervision.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
