Maintenances and Groundskeeper

General Summary:

The campground groundskeeper ensures that all our guests are properly cared for, often before they arrive. They are constantly surveying the campground, looking for areas of focus for repairs, cleanliness, and improvements. The main goal is to always keep our campground ready for incoming guests.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

· Oversee general maintenance and security of the campground.

· Complete task associated with water system, including but not limited to:

o Maintain wells.

o Complete weekly/monthly studies and submit to lab.

o Flush system and change filters weekly or as needed.

o Report and maintain clean water inventory.

· Maintain campground grounds, weeding whacking and mowing grass areas.

· Maintain campground roads, filling in potholes when necessary.

· Maintain all plumbing and heating elements in common areas, bathhouses, cabins, office and general camping areas.

· Split and Monitor/Stack firewood for firewood sales.

· Maintain areas around rental cabins, maintain weeds and inspect for hazards.

· Monitor ponds for any maintenance issues (clean out fountain, watch for flow, to prevent backups)

· Monitor campground for hazards and unwanted guests, including nuisance animals.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

Many soft skills and industry knowledge to maintain the campground property they oversee, including:

· Mechanical skills and knowledge of ground maintenance

· Proficiency with repair tools and techniques

· Time management, organization, and prioritization abilities

· Keen attention to detail and efficient problem-solving skills

· Ability to lift heavy equipment and comfortable standing or walking for long periods of time

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

· High school diploma or GED

· Reliable transportation

· Ability to lift more than 50 lbs.

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
