About the Role:
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Bakery Shop Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a love for baked goods. You will assist in the daily operations of the bakery, including serving customers, handling payments, and maintaining a clean and inviting environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service
• Assist customers with their purchases and offer product recommendations
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately using a POS system
• Restock shelves and display baked goods in an attractive manner
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the shop and workstations
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and pricing of bakery products
• Support bakers with basic food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed
• Comply with health and safety regulations at all times

Requirements:

• Previous retail or food service experience preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly and professional demeanour
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math skills for handling transactions
• Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays
• Food hygiene knowledge or certification is a plus
