Male English Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons in line with the USA Common Core standards.
• Create a positive, student-centered learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department planning, staff meetings, and school events.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to parents and school leadership.
• Uphold professional conduct and contribute to the school's ethos and vision.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field (Master's preferred).
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar curriculum (Common Core experience preferred).
• Male applicants only (due to gender-specific teaching requirements in UAE schools).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
• A proactive, student first mindset with cultural sensitivity.

Minimum Application Requirements

• Qualification: Minimum qualification or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a teaching qualification.
• Experience: 2 Years.
• Type of staff: Male only can apply to this job.
• Must be Western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa).
• Must be a native speaker of English.
• Newly qualified teachers are NOT considered.
• Prefer candidates with international experience.
• Experience of the IB curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
• Experience of USA curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued.
• It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English.
