Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging English lessons in line with the USA Common Core standards.
- Create a positive, student-centered learning environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in department planning, staff meetings, and school events.
- Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to parents and school leadership.
- Uphold professional conduct and contribute to the school's ethos and vision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in English or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Teaching qualification such as PGCE, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a similar curriculum (Common Core experience preferred).
- Male applicants only (due to gender-specific teaching requirements in UAE schools).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- A proactive, student first mindset with cultural sensitivity.
Minimum Application Requirements
- Qualification: Minimum qualification or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a teaching qualification.
- Experience: 2 Years.
- Type of staff: Male only can apply to this job.
- Must be Western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa).
- Must be a native speaker of English.
- Newly qualified teachers are NOT considered.
- Prefer candidates with international experience.
- Experience of the IB curriculum is beneficial but not essential as training will be given.
- Experience of USA curriculum such as American Harcourt, AP and Common Core is highly valued.
- It will be beneficial to your application if you have experience of working in the Middle East or with non-native speakers of English.
