Job Title: Staff Nurse (Male)

Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing
Department: Nursing Services
Reports To: Nursing Superintendent / Ward In-Charge
Job Type: Full-Time / Shift-Based ( 1 week Night duty per month )

Job Summary

The Male Staff Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, supporting doctors in clinical procedures, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. The role includes clinical care, emergency response, patient handling, and maintaining hospital standards of care.

Key Responsibilities: Clinical & Patient Care

• Provide direct nursing care to patients as per hospital protocols
• Monitor and record vital signs (BP, pulse, temperature, SpO₂)
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed
• Assist doctors during examinations and procedures
• Perform wound care, dressing, catheterization, and IV therapy
• Ensure proper patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort

Emergency & Critical Care Support

• Handle emergency cases and assist during resuscitation (CPR)
• Support ICU / Emergency / OT / Trauma care as assigned
• Shift and transport patients safely within the hospital
• Operate basic medical equipment and monitors

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records
• Report patient condition changes to doctors immediately
• Follow proper handover procedures during shift changes

Infection Control & Safety

• Follow infection control protocols and universal precautions
• Ensure cleanliness and proper disposal of biomedical waste
• Maintain safety standards and hospital policies

Team Coordination

• Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff
• Assist female nurses when required (patient shifting, procedures)
• Guide patient attendants regarding hospital rules and care

Qualifications & Skills: Educational Qualification

• GNM or B.Sc Nursing
• Valid State Nursing Council Registration

Skills & Competencies

• Good clinical knowledge and patient-handling skills
• Ability to work in shifts, including nights and emergencies
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physically fit for patient lifting and emergency duties
• Compassionate, disciplined, and team-oriented

Experience

• Fresher or experienced candidates can apply
• Experience in Emergency / ICU / OT / Trauma Care is an advantage

Salary & Benefits

• Starting 12000 , Increment will be provide based on performance
