Job Description

A Project Coordinator oversees and manages projects, acting as the liaison between clients and technical teams to ensure secure, timely, and compliant project delivery.

Overview

Project Coordinator coordinates and manages projects across multiple environments, including web applications, mobile platforms, cloud infrastructure, and IT networks. They work under the supervision of a Department Head and are responsible for ensuring that projects meet defined scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards

This role combines general project coordination skills with cybersecurity knowledge to effectively manage technical teams and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage VAPT Projects: Oversee multiple engagements, ensuring adherence to the project timeline and deliverables
  • Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during on-site and remote engagements, providing progress updates and addressing queries
  • Project Planning: Define project scope, objectives, schedule, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Team Coordination: Allocate tasks to ethical hackers and penetration testers, track progress, and ensure that testing activities adhere to security standards
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain and update Statements of Work (SoWs), test plans, reports, closure notes, and other project documentation
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify potential risks, escalate issues, and coordinate mitigation strategies to ensure successful project delivery
  • Compliance & Standards Enforcement: Ensure projects follow relevant cybersecurity frameworks, methodologies, and compliance requirements
  • Retesting & Scope Updates: Facilitate retesting cycles and manage additional or changing project scope as requested by clients

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, penetration testing methodologies, and basic network and system concepts
  • Project Management Skills: Capacity to plan and track project schedules, budgets, risks, and resource allocation
  • Communication Skills: Ability to liaise with technical teams, management, and clients effectively, including report writing and presentation
  • Organizational Skills: Attention to detail, multitasking, and ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
  • Tools Proficiency: Competence in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Project) and familiarity with project management software.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to quickly identify issues and develop actionable solutions Certifications (Preferred): CEH, CompTIA Security+, or similar cybersecurity certifications; project management certifications like CAPM or PMP are advantageous.

Education & Experience

  • Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field .
  • Industry Experience ( Preferably ): Prior experience in IT security, penetration testing coordination, or related cybersecurity project management is highly valued and advantage.
  • Timely delivery of Projects within scope and budget
  • Quality and completeness of reports and documentation
  • Stakeholder satisfaction and effective communication of project updates
  • Efficiency in resource allocation and coordination among teams
