This position plays a critical role in supporting the budgetary and financial operations of the Neighborhood & Human Services Department, as a part of the Business Services Division. As part of a collaborative and experienced team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to internal customers, providing insightful fiscal analysis and long-range financial modeling that informs decision-making and ensures organizational success.

The Management Analyst position is integral to the financial success of a department that directly impacts community quality of life. What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate budget development and monitoring activities for all divisions in the Neighborhood and Human Services Department, to include Community Services, Code Compliance, Transit, Community Engagement, Community Assistance and Youth Services.
  • Analyze operational and financial data to develop long-term projections, performance metrics and funding strategies.
  • Partner closely with department leadership to evaluate complex requests, identify viable solutions, facilitate the annual fiscal year budgeting process and recommend successful strategies.
  • Collaborate with the Business Services team and divisional staff to continuously improve financial processes and reporting tools.
  • Deliver responsive, first-class internal customer service by clearly communicating financial information and delivering high-quality outcomes and projects.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent years of experience.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years related experience.
  • Requires a working knowledge of specialized practices, equipment, and procedures.

Licenses/Certifications/Special Requirements:

  • Requires proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Workday and other applications

Preferred / Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a municipal or government setting
  • Additional years of progressively responsible experience
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in analyzing organizational processes, developing data-driven recommendations, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Compensation: $68,681-$85,164
