1. Daily Business Operations

  • Oversee the full day-to-day functioning of the retail store, workshop, and online operations.
  • Ensure customer enquiries, orders, installations, and service requests are managed efficiently.
  • Monitor inventory levels, stock ordering, supplier follow-ups, and incoming shipments.
  • Maintain showroom presentation, product displays, and merchandising standards.
  • Oversee opening/closing procedures, workflow scheduling, and operational readiness.

2. Staff Management & Recruitment

  • Manage daily rosters, staff productivity, performance, and training.
  • Use local knowledge to source suitable employees for sales, warehouse, and workshop roles.
  • Build strong relationships with recruitment agencies to fill vacancies efficiently.
  • Coordinate interviews, onboarding, and ongoing staff development.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution to maintain a positive workplace.

3. Contractor & Trades Coordination

  • Maintain strong relationships with contractors, installers, trades, and external service providers.
  • Source and assess new contractors when required for fit-outs, repairs, or technical installations.
  • Negotiate pricing, schedule work, and ensure contractors meet required quality and compliance standards.
  • Oversee contractor performance and maintain a trusted contractor network.

4. Sales Support & Customer Experience

  • Oversee customer service standards, ensuring quick response to enquiries and complaints.
  • Support the sales team with product knowledge, upselling, and tailored customer solutions.
  • Ensure consistent follow-ups on leads, quotes, and outstanding jobs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key clients, fleet customers, and wholesale partners.

5. Marketing & Advertising

  • Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns, social media activity, and product promotions.
  • Manage online listings, pricing updates, and product content across digital platforms.
  • Track advertisement performance and adjust strategies to improve reach and revenue.
  • Support branding consistency across signage, digital assets, and in-store displays.

6. Financial & Administrative Oversight

  • Monitor daily sales, job margins, and operational expenses.
  • Approve supplier invoices, contractor payments, and reconcile daily takings.
  • Assist management with reporting, budgeting, and business planning.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, industry standards, and company policies.

7. Automotive Knowledge & Technical Understanding

  • Possess strong understanding of vehicle makes/models, accessories, and aftermarket solutions.
  • Guide staff and customers on fitment compatibility and product recommendations.
  • Work with technicians to ensure correct installation processes and job quality.
  • Stay updated on new products and industry trends.
