Job Role- Manager (Accounts, Compliance & Client Management)

Must Have- India GAAP,Team management ,Accounting/MIS,Compliance& taxation, GST,TDS .
The Manager will be responsible for end-to-end supervision of accounting and compliance work, managing and mentoring staff, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, and ensuring timely, accurate MIS and statutory deliverables.
This is a hands-on role, requiring both technical expertise and people management skills.
1. Team Management & Review
Supervise and manage staff handling accounting, GST, TDS, income tax, and other compliances
Review work prepared by team members and ensure accuracy and completeness
Clarify technical and practical doubts of the team on a day-to-day basis
Allocate work, monitor timelines, and ensure adherence to internal deadlines
Train and mentor junior staff to improve quality and efficiency
Review and finalize books of accounts (monthly / quarterly)
Ensure proper accounting treatment and compliance with applicable standards
Prepare and review MIS reports including:
Profit & Loss
Balance Sheet
Cash Flow
Client-specific dashboards or summaries
Assist in closing of monthly and year-end accounts
Oversee and review:
GST returns and reconciliations
TDS compliance (deduction, payment, returns)
Income-tax returns (individuals, firms, companies)
Ensure statutory compliances are completed accurately and within due dates
Handle departmental notices and routine queries (GST / Income Tax), where required
4. Client Interaction & Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients
Explain accounting positions, MIS, tax implications, and compliance matters in a clear manner
Handle client queries, follow-ups, and expectations professionally
Coordinate with clients to obtain data and ensure smooth workflow
5. Process & Practice Management
Assist in streamlining internal processes and checklists
Improve documentation, review mechanisms, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Support partners in improving service delivery and client satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience-
3 to 5 years of experience in a CA firm or accounting/compliance-focused practice
Strong working knowledge of-
Accounting and finalization
GST, TDS, and Income-tax compliances
Experience in handling multiple clients simultaneously
Strong technical and analytical skills
Ability to manage and guide a small team
Clear communication skills (especially while dealing with clients)
Good working knowledge of Excel and accounting software (Tally / Zoho / similar)
Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments
