Job description for Manager /Dy Manager (Accounts)
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain robust job-costing procedures to track materials, labor, overhead,
and equipment costs for each construction project.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to review project budgets, estimate costs to complete, and
identify potential financial risks early.
- Maintain and oversee the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded
accurately and timely.
- Manage the monthly and year-end financial close processes efficiently.
- Manage subcontractor payables, and their retention money.
- Monitor cash flow closely to ensure sufficient funds are available for payroll, vendor payments,
and operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and national tax regulations, particularly concerning
sales tax, withholding taxes, and payroll taxes.
- Coordinate with internal auditors and for monthly/ annual audits.
Qualification & Experience:
- B. Com/M Com/ MBA/ CA Finalist/ CMA Finalist degree in accounting.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in an accounting management role, with preferably
experience in the construction industry.
Key Skills:
- Strong expertise in job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Excellent understanding of contract structures, retention management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized construction accounting
software/ERPs.
- High analytical capability with a strict attention to detail and accuracy.
Pay: Rs150,000.00 - Rs250,000.00 per month
