Qualifications: ACCA/CMA/CA (finalist or part qualified) or Master’s degree in accounting and finance.
3 - 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1-2 years in managerial role, preferably in the hospitality or a related sector.
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manager – Accounts to join our finance team in the Short Term Rental Business. The Manager will assist in overseeing the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting the General Manager Finance and Accounts in managing the company's financial health.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee and manage the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring all invoices from all branches are processed accurately and payments are made on time.
General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are recorded in accordance with accounting principles and company policies, daily vouchers checking, collect & provide data from all branches.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Preparing budgets, financial forecasts, and projections (Profit n Loss of all branches) and analysis of variance against actuals.
Audit Support: Preparation of data for internal and external audits and coordinate with external auditors to conduct the audits, and ensuring financial records and statements are ready and compliant with industry standards.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management strategies and daily closing.
Team Collaboration: Supervise and guide junior bookkeeping/accounting staff, providing training and support to ensure accuracy and compliance within the department and manage physical record keeping.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and compliance regulations specific to the hospitality industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (i.e.; QuickBooks, or other ERP systems).
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to analyze and present data effectively.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of Dubai and UAE related tax system and corporate laws will be considered a plus point.
Ability to work in pressure and working beyond duty hours as and when need arises to meet deadlines and challenges
