Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Appliance Repair to lead our field service team dedicated to appliance maintenance and repair. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure top-tier customer service, and drive team performance in a fast-paced environment. As a key leader, you will coordinate repair activities, manage technicians, and uphold high standards of technical excellence across various appliance categories including refrigeration, HVAC, and electrical systems. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate appliance repair technicians in diagnosing and repairing appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, HVAC units, and electrical systems.
- Review technical schematics and mechanical diagrams to guide troubleshooting and repairs efficiently.
- Oversee the scheduling of field service appointments, ensuring timely completion of repairs while maintaining high quality standards.
- Provide technical guidance on complex repairs involving refrigeration, electrical wiring, equipment assembly, and HVAC systems.
- Ensure all repair work complies with safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Manage inventory levels for parts and tools needed for repairs; coordinate with procurement as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns promptly and professionally during service visits.
- Train and mentor technicians on new repair techniques, safety protocols, and equipment updates.
- Collaborate with delivery drivers to facilitate smooth dispatching of service appointments using box trucks or other company vehicles.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed, parts used, and technician performance metrics.
Experience
- Proven experience in appliance repair or related field service roles with a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems.
- Prior management or supervisory experience leading a team of service technicians or field staff.
- Demonstrated ability to read schematics, mechanical diagrams, and electrical wiring diagrams accurately.
- Customer service experience with a focus on resolving client issues effectively while maintaining professionalism.
- Hands-on experience with equipment repair including assembly, electrical troubleshooting, refrigeration systems, and HVAC units.
- Delivery driver experience is a plus for coordinating service dispatches efficiently.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to electrical work, refrigeration systems, HVAC operations, and equipment handling.
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules, inventory, documentation, and team performance in a fast-moving environment. Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
