Job Summary

Summary
Responsible for overseeing the implementation and optimization of clinical informatics systems to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This role involves collaborating with clinical teams to ensure effective use of information technology and data management practices within the healthcare setting.

Essential Functions
  • Develops and implements strategies for the effective use of clinical informatics systems in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Collaborates with healthcare providers and stakeholders to identify information needs and improve clinical workflows.

  • Leads projects related to the design, implementation, and optimization of electronic health records (EHR) and other clinical systems.

  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of informatics initiatives, making recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.

  • Provides training and support to clinical staff on the use of informatics tools and leading practices.

  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to clinical informatics and data security.

  • Facilitates communication between clinical teams and Digital departments to resolve issues and enhance system functionality.

  • Stays current with emerging trends and technologies in clinical informatics to inform strategic planning and decision-making.

  • Prepares reports and presentations for leadership regarding informatics initiatives and outcomes.


Qualifications

Education Bachelor's Degree Information Technology required or Bachelor's Degree Health Informatics required or Bachelor's Degree Related Field of Study required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes Licenses and Credentials Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Nurse Practitioner [NP - State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Physician Assistant [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Pharmacist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Experience Experience in clinical informatics, healthcare technology, or other closely related role 5-7 years required and Experience in a supervisory or leadership role 3-5 years preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proficient analytical skills to assess clinical workflows and informatics systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clinical and IT teams. - Proficient in project management methodologies and tools. - In-depth knowledge of clinical informatics standards and leading practices. - Ability to lead and motivate teams in a dynamic healthcare environment. - Problem-solving skills to address challenges related to informatics implementation and usage.
