About the Role

We are hiring an experienced Manager Costing with a strong automotive manufacturing background to lead and oversee all costing-related functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing production costs, developing cost standards, optimizing cost controls, and supporting strategic decision-making. This role demands excellent analytical skills, deep knowledge of manufacturing processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with production, supply chain, and finance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain standard costing models for all products.
• Monitor, review, and analyze production costs, variances, and consumption reports.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis for raw materials, labor, overheads, and manufacturing processes.
• Lead the monthly and annual cost closing process and prepare cost reports for management.
• Implement cost control measures and recommend strategies to optimize cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and procurement teams to assess cost impacts of new products, materials, or process improvements.
• Evaluate BOMs, routing, and production workflows for accuracy and cost effectiveness.
• Conduct periodic inventory valuation, stock audits, and reconciliation.
• Review wastage, scrap levels, and yield analysis to ensure process efficiency.
• Prepare management dashboards, costing summaries, and profitability analyses.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, costing policies, and organizational standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Cost & Management Accounting, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years experience in costing within a manufacturing environment (mandatory).
• Strong understanding of cost accounting standards, BOM structures, production processes, and inventory management.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics / custom ERP).
• Excellent command of MS Excel and costing analytical tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
• Strong communication and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in cost optimization projects.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
• Exposure to product pricing strategies and margin analysis.
