Data Engineering Manager

Lead a team that designs, builds, and maintains data infrastructure and tools, ensuring efficient data flow and security. Manage data pipelines, mentor engineers, and collaborate with business departments to meet organizational data needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

§ Team Leadership

• Manage and mentor a team of data engineers.
• Foster professional growth and development within the team.

§ Data Infrastructure Management

• Oversee the design and maintenance of scalable data pipelines.
• Ensure data quality, security, and governance.

§ Collaboration

• Work with data engineers, analysts, and IT teams to meet organizational data needs.
• Communicate effectively with business departments to align data strategies with company goals.

§ Strategic Planning

• Develop and implement data governance policies.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and tools in data engineering.

Required Skills and Qualifications

§ Education

o Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on coursework of a quantitative nature (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science).

§ Technical Skills

• Proficiency in data architecture and engineering.
• Experience with data processing tools and languages (SQL, SSIS, R, Python, Excel, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, JSON).
• Advanced SQL and data architecture design.
• Experience in both structured and unstructured data sources.

§ Management Skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

§ Experience

• 5+ years in data engineering, with 2+ years in management role.
• Insurance experience preferred.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
