Manager Dental Hospital / Quality Assurance

Fatima Memorial Dental Hospital is a teaching hospital attached with FMH College of Medicine & Dentistry which is duly affiliated with University of Health Sciences, Lahore and recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council and College of Physicians & Surgeons of Pakistan for training of medical/dental postgraduate as well as undergraduate students for MBBS and BDS degrees respectively. It requires the services of Manager Dental Hospital / Quality Assurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and implement the Quality Management Systems in Fatima Memorial Hospital according to ISO certification standard 9001-2008.
  • Provide leadership in developing and directing Quality Assurance and quality improvement initiatives for all dental hospital service
  • Perform gap analysis between applicable and current ISO standards.
  • Establish and implement a quality plan to bring FMDH into ISO compliance.
  • Review the result of quality control compliance or non-compliance and ensure validity of results.
  • Internal audit of all SOPs and prepare follow up actions.
  • Perform internal QA audits that are compliant with FMDH policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Development and continuous improvement of new services by integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.
  • Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards and legislation.
  • Create and maintain Quality Assurance control documentation.
  • To be responsible for promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded.
  • To be responsible for defining clear and explicit standards as points of reference to the reviews to be carried out. It should also help the employees to know as to what they could expect from candidates.
  • To observe and exercise punctuality, commitment, honesty, empathy and discipline of all staff being supervised and to manage their HR related functions such as duty rosters, disciplinary proceedings etc.
  • Development and management of the Clinical Quality Assurance Program of the Dental Hospital
  • Ensure the implementation and monitoring of Standard Operating Procedures, Hospital, Hospital Protocols
  • Facilitate improved patient care, diagnostic facilities and dental treatment delivery
  • To rationalize and approve material demands, their timely provision, accounting/ auditing of general/ medical/ dental stores/ instruments/equipment. Also to ensure optimal utilization of all resources.
  • Institute measures for increase in patient numbers. Oversee development of conditions and environment suitable for dental treatment of all categories of patients and their greater turn-over.
  • To market dental services both to general public and corporate panels through the concerned department
  • Daily round of the Dental Hospital and its email report to the concerned i.e. Principal Dental College/ MS Dental Hospital.
  • Act as a key resource person for managing and ensuring optimal support staff training and development on ongoing basis

Technical Competencies and Skills:

Strong Interpersonal, communication and computer skills.

Qualification

BDS, MBA . Additional qualification in Total Quality Management is a plus, have at least 4-5 years of relevant experience at a reputable organization.
