Educational Qualification
● A Bachelor's degree in any engineering or occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field is often required.
● Any Diploma courses in Health & Environment or Fire & Industrial Safety management or related fields are required.
Certifications: having any of the below listed certification shall be an advantage
● Certified Safety Professional (CSP): Offered by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP), it is highly regarded.
● Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) or equivalent certifications depending on the industry.
● First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification: Many roles require basic first aid and emergency response certifications.
● NEBOSH IGC, International General Certificate in Health & Safety
● OSHA- Construction Safety Certification course
● IOSH- Managing Safety Certification course
Qualification & Experience
● Driving Safety Culture: Must have ability to drive safety culture across the organization
● Policy Implementation: Proven ability to develop and enforce safety policies tailored to solar construction and operations.
● Site Inspections and Audits: Hands-on experience conducting safety inspections and audits on solar project sites.
● Incident Investigation: Experience in investigating safety risks, hazards, incidents and implementing corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
● Training Programs: Expertise in designing and delivering safety training programs, including new hire orientation and emergency preparedness
