Position Summary:
The Manager, Electrical Assembly is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the end-to-end management of the electronic assembly production floor. This individual will bridge the gap between high-level operational strategy and hands-on technical execution, ensuring that complex aerospace and defense products are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a technical expert in electrical manufacturing (soldering, wire harnesses, and cabling) who possesses the leadership gravitas to motivate a cross-functional team and the strategic mindset to navigate New Product Introductions (NPI).
Responsibilities:

Lead the Electronic Assembly Production floor, providing ongoing management, scheduling oversight, and product support to ensure successful product delivery with high quality.

Coordinates and manages day-to-day activities of Electrical Assemblers. Work in conjunction with Planning, Procurement, and Test to ensure tasks remain on schedule.

Plans, organizes, directs, motivates, controls, and evaluates all aspects of the manufacturing processes.

Lead mitigation of product risks & flow inhibitors, working with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain.

Lead corrective actions to improve production cells uptime, efficiency, and quality.

Coordinate with Operations and Manufacturing Engineering to plan New Product Introduction (NPI) bringing new technology to production floor.

Must understand and work from drawings and schematics, well versed with solder techniques, bonding, crimping, wire harness applications and cabling.

Reviews and approves assemblers’ timecards.

Performs yearly employee evaluations.

Responsible for assuring the safety of all employees, and monitoring employee adherence to all safety policies and utilization of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Establishes realistic goals and objectives, makes final decisions on administrative or operational matters, and continuously monitors progress such that program objectives are accomplished efficiently, completely, and within established timeframes.

Provides recommendations and input regarding product developmental strategies, selection of manufacturing technology/vendors, departmental policies, systems and standards, procedures, resourcing, budgets, goals, and objectives.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum 9-years prior related experience, or Associate’s degree and a minimum of 12-years prior related experience or High School diploma and a minimum of 15-years of prior related experience.

AS9100 working knowledge required.

Complete understanding of MIL-STD-2000, J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 or NASA-STD-8739.3.

Competent using various chemicals such as Alcohol, Epoxies, RTV Silicones, and Conformal coating.

Capable of leading and driving issues/actions through completion.

Ability to strategically organize and complete projects, tasks and business objectives, independently.

Experienced in leading cross functional teams, with strong interpersonal skills and team attitude, with an ability to motivate.

Experienced in process improvements.

Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate verbally and written at all levels, internally and externally.

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to motivate subordinates to meet schedules, control costs and improve product quality.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills while building strong relationships with internal customers.

Strong computer skills, (MS Project/Office and Visual Manufacturing).

Knowledgeable of wiring chassis and cables required.

Must be able to solder and crimp pins for connectors and lugs.

Knowledgeable of Teflon and PVC type wire and braided shielding is required.

Must be able to read blueprint schematics and wire lists.

The ability to obtain and maintain a future Security Clearance is required for the role. Eligibility requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Lean manufacturing environment a plus.

Previous experience in Program Management or Project Management role a plus.

IPC-610 and IPC-620 current or past certification desired.

Deltek Costpoint a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $103,500 – 192,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Fisica Inc. also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), PTO, EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, and schedule type.
