Manager, Facilities & Fleet Maintenance, has the opportunity to make a
difference by providing leadership for a wide-range of activities
associated with facilities, fleet and warehousing at The Community Blood
Center (CBC). As a member of the management team, this role is
responsible for the execution of strategies which enable CBC to
successfully meet organizational goals and objectives. Oversees all
facility activities to ensure building, grounds, and fleet vehicles are
maintained. Manages the receipt and warehousing of materials and
supplies. Develops relationships with key vendors and suppliers to
improve quality and efficiency. Works collaboratively with the
management team to focus on improvement initiatives, financial metrics,

Achievement. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other Duties May Be
assigned): 1. Provides leadership and direction to maintenance and
warehouse staff on quality and efficiency in relation to available
resources in meeting objectives in a timely manner. 2. Manages all
aspects of the facilities and grounds across all CBC locations,
including security. 3. Manages and administers all facility service
contracts, including security, HVAC, janitorial, ground maintenance and
general maintenance. 4. Establishes and maintains department Standard
Operating Procedures (SOP) for receiving, warehousing and medical waste,
and in accordance with all regulatory standards (e.g. FDA, AABB). 5.
Works with team on receipt and inspection of incoming critical materials
requiring quarantine and testing prior to acceptance and use. 6. Reviews
purchasing requests and authorizes purchase orders and non-inventory
requests, as needed to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are
available for operations. 7. Monitors and ensures adherence to
contracts. 8. Coordinates with departments and third-parties on the
timely repair of all mobile vehicles and completion of preventative
maintenance to mitigate downtime. 9. Works collaboratively across the
organization to support the fleet and facilities portion of the
organizational safety program to ensure safe, healthy, and accident-free
work environment. 10. Maintains all records related to medical waste
including completing annual reports and maintaining the infectious waste
license. 11. Oversees warehouse and inventory control and coordinates
physical counts of inventory of critical supplies. 12. Completes and
monitors vendor qualifications for critical vendors used in the material
management area. 13. Works closely with leaders to support special
projects as assigned which affect the overall operations and facilities.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 1. Education: Bachelor\'s degree in business
or related field or equivalent experience. 2. Experience/Skills: 5+
years relevant work history within a facility/warehouse and/or
purchasing function. This position requires attention to detail and
efficient time management skills for the variety of tasks involved.
Requires working knowledge of facilities maintenance, materials
management and purchasing, and 3-5 years supervisory experience in
facilities management. Requires strong analytical skills for a varying
environment. Requires computer skills to maintain spreadsheets for
purchasing, vendors, and projects. Team member is frequently required to
