Position Overview
We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) to join our finance and accounts team within the Railway industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial integrity, managing cost structures, supporting large-scale infrastructure project financing, and ensuring statutory compliance across railway operations. This role requires strong financial analysis skills, an understanding of capital-intensive projects, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, procurement, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operations & Finance
- Support day–to–day operational finance activities·
- Coordinate with internal departments for financial inputs·
- Review project-related financial data and ensure accuracy·
- Assist in budgeting, cash flow analysis, and fund management
2. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF, ESI and other statutory requirements
- Handle statutory audits and internal audits·
- Maintain statutory records and monitor due dates
- Liaise with auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies
3. Bank Related Activities
- Manage banking operations including payments, loans, LC, BG and OD limits·
- Liaise with banks for financial facilities and documentation·
- Monitor loan repayments, interest calculations and bank reconciliation
- Ensure timely submission of banking statements
4. Shareholding & Company Law
- Maintain shareholding records and documentation·
- Assist in preparation of board resolutions for share allotments·
- Work with Company Secretary for ROC filings and compliance·
- Understand shareholder agreements and related legal requirements
5. Debt & Funding Management
- Evaluate and process debt proposals and loan documentation·
- Support fundraising activities (working capital / term loan)·
- Monitor financial covenants and banking conditions·
- Coordinate with financial institutions for borrowings
6. Investment Management
- Evaluate investment proposals and returns·
- Maintain records of investment portfolio·
- Monitor ROI, maturity schedules and financial planning
- Assist in strategic investment recommendations
7. General Accounting Activities
- Maintain books of accounts in accounting software·
- Prepare MIS reports, ledgers, and financial statements·
- Handle vendor payments, receivables & payables·
- Monthly closing, reconciliation and reporting·
- Support payroll accounting whenever required
8. Budgeting & Cost Control
- Develop annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans for railway projects and operational units.
- Monitor cost overruns in rolling stock, track maintenance, signaling systems, and infrastructure development.
- Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
Preferred Skills
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards (IND-AS/IFRS)
- Hands-on experience in Statutory Compliance (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC)
- Good understanding of Operations & Finance processes
- Experience in Banking transactions, Loans, LC, BG, CC & Documentation
- Knowledge of Shareholding, Board Resolutions & Company Law procedures
- Exposure to Debt management, Fundraising & Investment management
- Ability to prepare and analyze MIS Reports & Financial Statements
- Strong knowledge of ledger management, reconciliation & month-end closing
- Familiarity with Audit procedures – Internal & Statutory
- Excellent Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot, MIS, Financial Analysis)
- Working knowledge in Tally / ERP / SAP
- Strong analytical thinking and financial interpretation
- Ability to handle multiple statutory deadlines
- Good communication and coordination skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
