Manager Finance & Accounts - 6pm to 3am - DHA Phase 6

Tjara is a Shariah-compliant financial services company dedicated to providing halal housing, commercial, and business financing & investment solutions for the Muslim community in Canada.

We are seeking a skilled professional to lead our finance and accounting operations at our Karachi office. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong compliance, and strategic support for business growth, with 4–5 years of hands-on experience in finance roles. We are based in DHA Bukhari Commercials & Office timings are from 6pm to 3 am Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable (A/R), accounts payable (A/P), general ledger (G/L), payroll processing, tax payments, inventory control, and fixed asset management.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, and MIS/divisional performance reports; manage month-end closings, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial plans; monitor cash flow, funding requirements, investments, and asset-based lending (ABL) debt covenant compliance.
• Conduct risk assessments for market, credit, and operational risks; implement internal controls and financial policies to mitigate identified risks.
• Manage internal and external audits, address findings, and ensure timely finalization of statutory accounts.
• Lead and mentor the finance team; manage banking relationships, vendor payments, client settlements, and cross-departmental coordination for cost optimization.
• Analyze financial data to generate insights, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decisions such as funding approvals and portfolio monitoring in financing operations.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations; maintain and update accounting systems/software; process bi-weekly payroll with tax withholdings.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• ACCA qualified or CA (Part/Full) qualified (ICAP or equivalent).
• 4–5 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance management, ideally in financing, leasing, or financial services companies.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS/GAAP), financial regulations, taxation, and compliance in the financing sector.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency with financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Odoo ERP), MS Excel (advanced functions), and the MS Office suite.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities, with excellent communication skills for stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to manage high-volume transactions, tight deadlines, and teams while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
