Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis, will be responsible for coordinating and leading both the short- and long-term financial plans of the Company and for serving as the lead on forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning. The incumbent prepares the annual budget and monthly forecast and provides financial analysis for operations and the executive team. The incumbent also assists with the preparation of Coeur’s financial and managerial reporting and prepares certain quarterly reporting and disclosure processes.

The Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will partner with Coeur’s finance teams to provide accurate, timely reporting to senior management and ad hoc financial analysis for projects.

Location: Corporate Headquarters – Chicago, IL or Toronto, ON

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the core FP&A cadence, including monthly review of actual results versus forecast, annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning, with primary responsibility for consolidating site and corporate results.
  • Build and maintain metric-driven financial models that support profitability analysis, cost drivers, productivity, and capital allocation decisions.
  • Prepare executive-ready reporting packages, dashboards, and scenario analyses (e.g., commodity price, FX, throughput, recovery) for senior management and Board materials as required.
  • Interface with Operations, Mine Planning, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations to ensure operational inputs are appropriately reflected in financial results and forecasts.
  • Lead or support the financial evaluation and due diligence modelling of growth projects, joint ventures, and M&A opportunities, including sensitivity analysis and post-investment tracking.
  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes and systems, including automation, standardization, and enhancement of data quality.
  • Support detailed analysis of Corporate G&A results, including monthly and YTD variance analysis and reporting.
  • Support budget and forecast cycles, including coordination and review of Corporate submissions and consolidation of Company results.
  • Act as a key resource for planning systems (including Vena and others), supporting template maintenance, process documentation, and user support.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support special projects as required.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling; financial services or investment banking experience a plus
  • Mining/natural resource industry experience is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or Economics; MBA, CPA, CMA or CFA strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with income statements, cash flow statements, and balance sheets, and business acumen in capital-project economics (sustaining vs. growth capex, NAV, IRR, ROIC).

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential, as is the ability to work extended hours at peak times and travel as required (expected to be limited, if applicable). Proactive approach to analytical issues that require financial, operational, economic and statistical insight

  • Interpersonal skills, enabling successful collaboration with a cross-section of teams
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and comprehension abilities, as well as great attention to detail
  • Ability to work under time pressure and balance multiple priorities
  • Excellent presentation abilities; comfortable translating complex data into clear business narratives for non-finance audiences.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, with in-depth knowledge of Excel, specifically data transformation and advanced pivot table skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial-modelling skills; proficiency with an enterprise planning platform (Oracle/Hyperion, SAP/BPC, VENA) and BI/visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).


The salary range offered for this role is $105,000 - $116,000 USD range. The salary range is a good-faith estimate. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s salary history at other jobs, and by law, Coeur Mining will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Coeur Mining.
