Job Description

The FX Settlement Officer ensures the accurate and timely settlement of FX transactions, verifying trade details, coordinating payments, and reconciling settlements. The role requires expertise in FX products, money markets, and regulatory reporting. The officer collaborates with internal teams and external parties to resolve discrepancies and support Treasury objectives.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

·      Verify the accuracy of trade details and ensure all FX transactions are correctly booked in the T24 system.

·      Generate and match FX deal confirmations to validate transaction terms.

·      Manage payment and collection instructions for FX transactions, ensuring timely and accurate fund transfers.

·      Monitor nostro account activities related to FX payments.

·      Ensure timely and accurate execution of FX and PKR settlements.

·      Update daily revaluation rates (SBPK02) in the T24 system.

·      Manage brokerage payments related to FX transactions.

·      Process interest and bank charges on nostro accounts.

·      Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), including FXCRS, ITRS, etc.

·      Provide FX-related reporting to the Treasury and Finance departments.

·      Ensure FX General Ledger (GL) accounts are reconciled with internal records, and coordinate with the Reconciliation and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies.

·      Investigate and resolve issues related to trade details, confirmations, or settlement discrepancies.

·      Prepare and maintain the FX Operations Manual.

·      Assist in internal, external, and statutory audits.

·      Actively participate in system implementation and enhancement initiatives related to the FX module in T24.

·      Perform any other tasks assigned by the Head of Treasury Operations.

• Required Qualifications:
• MBA/ ACCA/BS Accounting, Finance
• Experience & Skills:
• Min 7 years of experience in FX settlement, proven expertise in Treasury products, with a focus on Foreign Exchange (FX) and remittance services. In-depth knowledge of electronic banking operations and related services. Proficient in T24 system, particularly FX and Money Market (MM) modules / products. Strong understanding of FX-related regulatory reporting and compliance.
