Manager, Institutional Business Development & Capital Raising

Captona is looking to hire an experienced business developer for a VP of Capital Formation position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving capital raising efforts by building relationships with institutional investors, conducting meetings, and securing capital commitments.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage institutional fundraising efforts, executing the full cycle from prospecting through commitment and closing
  • Cultivate and deepen relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, insurance companies, and family offices globally
  • Drive LP engagement through co-investment dialogue, portfolio updates, and ongoing relationship management
  • Collaborate with investment team to develop fundraising narratives, investor presentations, and due diligence materials
  • Represent Captona at industry conferences and events; develop a targeted presence strategy to expand visibility in key markets
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline tracking and provide regular reporting on fundraising progress to senior leadership


Qualifications:

  • 3-7+ years of institutional capital raising experience in infrastructure, energy transition, or real assets
  • Demonstrated track record closing commitments from sovereign wealth funds, pensions, and insurance companies
  • Existing relationships within the target LP universe; ability to open doors independently
  • Deep familiarity with LP due diligence processes, fund structures, and investor reporting expectations
  • Strong communicator and storyteller, able to translate complex investment strategies into compelling narratives


The estimated base salary for this position is $150,000-$225,000. Total compensation includes eligibility for performance-based bonus and comprehensive benefits.
