Job Description
Key Accountabilities

Establish and maintain governance frameworks, dashboards for the PMO function.

Track, monitor, and report on audit timelines, milestones, and resource allocation to support timely and successful delivery of the Internal Audit annual plan.

Provide PM guidance and support to audit teams, emphasizing best practices, tools, and methodologies.

Lead the Internal Audit PMO, overseeing manpower planning, audit system, and process optimization, and report enhancement from initiation to completion.

Ensure PMO activities are aligned with Internal Audit’s strategic goals, meeting quality standards and timelines.

Develop, manage, and optimize manpower planning to ensure adequate resources are allocated for current and upcoming audits.

Collaborate with senior management to forecast staffing needs based on audit plans, strategic priorities, and emerging risks.

Analyze resource utilization and recommend improvements for effective allocation and workforce development.

Support the development, monitoring, and reporting of annual business plans and KPIs to achieve unit objectives and overall performance excellence.

Contribute to preparing, recommending, and continuously monitoring the unit’s annual budget to identify performance gaps and capitalize on improvement opportunities.

Track and consolidate internal department progress, initiatives, and performance metrics, and regularly report to the Group ED, Internal Audit to support strategic decision-making and oversight.

Prepare comprehensive, accurate, and timely work deliverables (including quarterly, annual, and ad-hoc reports) and submit them to the Group ED, Internal Audit for review and final issuance to Management and ARCC.

Ensure all reports comply with international corporate governance principles, applicable standards, and shareholder requirements.

Support in developing and delivering the annual operational business plans and KPIs for the unit and contribute to performance monitoring and reporting for the unit so that overall objectives Oversee and implement PMO-related continuous improvement initiatives for systems, policies, and procedures.

Ensure adherence to internal audit standards, internal policies, and quality assurance frameworks, including Masdar’s QAIP requirements.

Conduct periodic self-assessments and quality checks of PMO activities, identifying areas for improvement and providing feedback.
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a relevant discipline.

Professional certifications preferred: CIA, PMP, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Additional certification or training in data analytics, audit automation tools, or AI applications in auditing (e.g., CISA, CRMA, or courses in data analytics/AI) is an advantage.
Preferred Experience:

Minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in internal audit, project management, or related fields.

Proven experience in audit planning, project management, resource allocation, and reporting optimization.

Demonstrated experience in PMO governance and quality assurance practices within internal audit or assurance functions.

Ability to effectively manage, lead, and motivate cross-functional teams.

Strong knowledge and skills in manpower planning, PMO governance, internal audit project management practices, reporting frameworks, and application of AI/data analytics tools to enhance audit planning, execution, and reporting.

Good understanding of the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), including the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and the IIA’s Code of Ethics.

Familiarity with industry-specific regulations, policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
