Manager / Laser Hair Removal Technician

True Aesthetic Spa is an established medical spa located in Wayne, NJ. We specialize in advanced aesthetic treatments, including laser hair removal, and are committed to delivering safe, results-driven services in a professional and client-focused environment.

We are seeking an experienced, licensed professional to join our team as a Spa Manager & Laser Hair Removal Technician. This is not an entry-level position — applicants must have hands-on experience performing laser treatments on paying clients and prior management experience in a med spa or aesthetic setting.

Position Overview:

This dual-role position requires someone who can confidently perform laser treatments independently while managing daily operations, driving revenue, and contributing marketing and growth strategies. The ideal candidate is experienced, sales-oriented, organized, and business-minded, with a passion for client results.

Required Qualifications:

• Active New Jersey Esthetician License (Required)
• Proven, hands-on experience performing Laser Hair Removal treatments on paying clients
• Must have treated clients independently (not just training models)
• Strong knowledge of Fitzpatrick skin types and laser safety protocols
• Prior management or supervisory experience in a med spa or aesthetic setting
• Confident in consultation-based selling and recommending treatment plans
• Professional, responsible, and punctual
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to build trust and maintain client relationships
• Must be available to work weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience performing IPL Photofacials
• Experience with medical-grade laser devices
• Experience with facials, microneedling, microdermabrasion, dermaplaning, or chemical peels
• Comfortable discussing treatment plans and recommending skincare
• Polished, professional demeanor with strong client retention skills
• Experience generating marketing ideas or assisting with promotional campaigns
• Familiarity with booking software and POS systems

ResponsibilitiesClinical:

• Perform laser hair removal treatments safely and effectively
• Conduct thorough consultations and create customized treatment plans
• Educate clients on pre- and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate client records
• Follow strict sanitation and safety protocols
• Deliver a high-quality, professional client experience
• Support client retention and long-term treatment results

Management & Growth:

• Oversee daily med spa operations
• Manage scheduling, staff coordination, and inventory
• Ensure compliance with NJ regulations and med spa safety standards
• Drive revenue through upselling packages, memberships, and retail products
• Contribute marketing ideas and assist with promotional campaigns
• Maintain client satisfaction and long-term retention
