Responsibilities

The primary duties of a Laptop Repair and Refurbishing Manager include:

  • Team Leadership and Mentorship: Leading, mentoring, and training a team of repair technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Operations Management: Overseeing all aspects of the repair and refurbishment operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to company standards.
  • Process Improvement: Developing and implementing efficient repair procedures and workflows to optimize turnaround times while maintaining quality.
  • Quality Control & Testing: Ensuring all refurbished equipment undergoes thorough testing and quality control assessments to ensure proper functioning and compliance with refurbishment standards.
  • Inventory and Asset Management: Managing the inventory of spare parts, tools, and refurbished assets, coordinating with supply chain teams for procurement, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Technical Oversight: Providing expert guidance on complex diagnostics and component-level repairs (e.g., motherboard, screen, and battery replacements), including advanced soldering or BGA rework if required.
  • Data Security and Compliance: Ensuring all data on customer and company equipment is handled securely and wiped according to data safety protocols and industry regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Customer and Vendor Relations: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and customers to address complex issues, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to repair operations and implementing initiatives to meet or exceed targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in computer/laptop repair and technical support, with proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep expertise in diagnosing and repairing laptop hardware and software issues across various brands (e.g., Dell, HP, Apple, Lenovo).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and critical thinking skills to resolve complex technical challenges.
  • Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to manage a team effectively and interact with clients.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or manufacturer-specific credentials are a significant advantage.
  • Education: A diploma, associate degree, or degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is often preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
