POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager, Learning & Research, manages efforts to build and sustain a strong learning and data culture across FJC. This role develops and implements the infrastructure and processes for field-wide data collection and program evaluation across the field. This position contributes to and manages multiple aspects of FJC data and evaluation processes including the Census and Satisfaction Insights surveys, and internal and external program evaluations; reviews and analyzes data to distill actionable learnings and key takeaways to drive improvement; contributes to data-driven meetings and trainings for teams and for FJC leadership; and serves as a thought partner on issues related to data, research, evaluation, and learning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage FJC's learning, data, and evaluation strategies, including developing and refining systems aligned with FJC's Strategic Direction
- Partner with FJC's impact teams and external partners to embed evaluation and data into program design and execution, providing data consultation on outcomes, metrics, and learning agendas for continuous improvement
- Manage aspects of field-wide data initiatives, including FJC's field-wide Satisfaction Insights and Census, ensuring high quality data collection, analysis and reporting
- Translate data into actionable insights, making recommendations to improve programs and ensure alignment with intended outcomes
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to synthesize and elevate insights for decision-making and external communication
- Additional learning and research projects as needed for the department including administrative tasks such as editing and creating slide decks, documents and finance related documentation for the department
WORK SCHEDULE & LOCATION
- This is a remote role based in the U.S.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% within North America to support FJC staff retreats and convenings throughout the year

- Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in statistical tools and research methodologies
- Ability to communicate data and impact with diverse audiences in a variety of modalities using both complex and detailed data and higher-level summary data
- Highly self-motivated and takes initiative with excellent organizational, project management and time management skills
- Ability to manage a diverse and demanding workload while effectively prioritizing projects, tasks, and time
- Able to approach work with a positive attitude, curiosity, and a growth mindset

CREDENTIALS & EXPERIENCE
- 5-7 years of experience managing data, evaluation, learning, or research initiatives
- Experience designing, analyzing and authoring data and research reports and insights
- Proven project management experience including utilizing technology and people skills to implement and organize projects with successful completion
- Tech-savvy, quick to learn collaborative tech tools. Familiar with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Asana, and FormAssembly, Alchemer, Qualtrics, Decipher, R, Power BI, and AI software preferred
- Familiarity with educational environments preferred; exposure to the field of Jewish camping or Jewish education a plus
- Advanced degree (Master's) preferred
