Manager - Legal Contracts Management

About the Role:

The job holder is responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of contract management, including the development, review, negotiation, and closure of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and organizational standards, while also managing procurement planning and supplier relationships to ensure efficient and effective service delivery aligned with KSIA's goals.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update policies, guidelines, and standard model forms related to contracts to ensure consistency and compliance across all KSIADC functions
  • Draft, review, and standardize contract templates for use across KSIADC, ensuring alignment with legal, operational, and regulatory standards
  • Provide ongoing support to KSIADC functions by assisting in the drafting of contracts, ensuring they align with existing legislation and KSIADC’s strategic objectives
  • Review and finalize all contracts to ensure adherence to legal guidelines, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact KSIADC's interests
  • Monitor ongoing contracts, ensuring compliance and addressing any issues that may arise during the contract execution phase
  • Provide legal counsel on contract-related matters, offering solutions and recommendations to resolve ambiguities and challenges
  • Assess risks in the execution of contracts, develop mitigation plans, and follow up to ensure the successful implementation of corrective actions
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to review and negotiate contract modifications, ensuring all changes align with KSIADC’s goals
  • Track and document all contract amendments, ensuring clear and accurate records of changes, including variations in schedule, budget, and scope
  • Manage the end-to-end process of contract closure, including final reviews, reconciliation of deliverables, and formal release of obligations
  • Develop procurement planning guidelines and tools to ensure timely and compliant acquisition of goods and services for KSIADC’s projects and operations
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive procurement plan, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, technical requirements, and budget constraints
  • Oversee supplier selection and evaluation, ensuring procurement decisions align with KSIADC’s operational needs and project timelines
  • Ensure the compliance of all contracts and purchase orders with internal policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements, managing risks associated with non-compliance
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve procurement delays or disruptions, ensuring the timely delivery of goods and services while maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner
  • Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly
  • Train junior staff on the different job activities to ensure transfer of know-how, when applicable
  • Support junior staff or direct reports in order to execute their duties according to set policies and processes


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role or equivalent
  • Master’s degree in law or similar role or equivalent is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in law or similar role or equivalent is required
