Job Profile: Manager – MIS Unit

Profile Summary

The Manager – MIS Unit is responsible for managing the organization’s Management Information Systems to ensure accurate, timely, and meaningful data reporting. The role supports senior management and various departments by providing analytical insights, dashboards, and reports that aid decision-making and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of MIS reports and dashboards
• Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data across systems
• Collect, analyze, and consolidate data from multiple departments
• Prepare periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) management reports
• Support senior leadership with data-driven insights and analysis
• Coordinate with IT, finance, operations, and other departments for data alignment
• Develop and improve MIS processes, tools, and reporting standards
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and data governance requirements
• Manage and mentor MIS team members (if applicable)
• Handle ad-hoc data requests and special analytical projects

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in MIS, data analysis, or reporting roles
• Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role is an advantage
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, databases, and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL)
• Good understanding of business processes and performance metrics.
