Manager of Operations

Gloucester Music Works is a new nonprofit music school dedicated to making quality music education accessible to all members of our community regardless of economic status. Our teachers provide expert instruction in custom made rehearsal spaces and facilitate access to instruments and recital opportunities.

We opened our doors for lessons this November and with seed funding from Brace Cove Foundation, we are currently renovating a 4,000 SF, custom built facility in Gloucester to help us fulfill our mission.

We are seeking a Manager of Operations to coordinate a variety of activities including student recruitment, lesson scheduling, payroll, marketing/ social media and management of our facility and instrument lending library.

Necessary Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 3-5 years experience in an operational role
• Strong organization, analytical and management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated adaptability, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit

Preferred Qualities:

• Prior experience in a nonprofit organizational management role
• Budget and financial management experience
• Fluency in Spanish
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks and ASAP software

Schedule and Benefits

• This is a full-time, salaried position; required to work at and attend programs and fundraising events that may happen outside of normal business hours
• Salary commensurate with experience; health insurance stipend included
