Manager of Quality and Reports

About the Role

We’re a fast-growing, tech-enabled medical admin company looking for a Quality and Reports Manager to lead the team responsible for preparing high-quality medical documents for our network of doctor clients. Ideal candidates have considerable experience with healthcare documentation and the ability to execute and oversee precise AI-assisted workflows across multiple systems simultaneously, ensuring every report meets regulatory and clinical standards.

The right candidate is highly resourceful with a growth mindset, strong leadership skills, and entrepreneurial drive. You will have autonomy and authority over your department's functions and be accountable to the COO, who will expect you to go beyond simply following existing SOPs. What You'll Do

  • Lead and build your team of Report Specialists, overseeing the quality and accuracy of our doctors’ documentation with consistency
  • Constantly help doctors with their clinical documents
  • Execute and manage a detailed computerized process to prepare each chart
  • Conduct structured patient interviews by phone
  • Cross-reference each chart’s contents against source materials and flag discrepancies, missing records, or quality issues
  • Audit the quality of completed charts; identify and solve error patterns
  • Comfortable learning new software systems quickly
  • Continuously improve our processes

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years experience documenting in high-precision healthcare settings
  • Excellent leadership and organizational skills; experience training and supervising a team of direct reports
  • Strong technical reading comprehension and attention to detail, particularly with medical terminology
  • Comfort and experience working with tech-driven workflows across various software programs, including AI tools
  • Excellent customer service and phone communication skills; effective at guiding patients through interviews
  • Ability to develop and follow detailed computer procedures consistently
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace
  • Nice to have: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Details

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Hybrid remote between our Austin office and home after initial 6-month period

Employment type: Hourly, 30+ hours/week with overtime available

Compensation: More than $30/hour, commensurate with experience

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
