Manager Of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Manager of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery to lead our comprehensive behavioral health initiatives. This role is vital in developing, implementing, and overseeing programs aimed at preventing substance use and supporting recovery efforts within diverse community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in addiction counseling, mental health therapy, and case management, with a focus on empowering individuals to achieve lasting recovery. You will play a key role in fostering collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, community organizations, and families to promote holistic care and positive outcomes.

Duties

  • Develop and oversee evidence-based prevention programs targeting substance use among youth and adults, incorporating motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and behavioral management techniques.
  • Lead clinical teams in conducting intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment planning for clients with substance use disorders.
  • Coordinate group therapy sessions, individual counseling, and family interventions to support recovery journeys.
  • Manage crisis intervention efforts, ensuring timely response to behavioral health emergencies while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Facilitate training for staff on topics such as trauma-informed care, working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism, and special education strategies.
  • Monitor program effectiveness through data collection, research initiatives, and quality assurance practices aligned with ICD-10/ICD-9 coding standards.
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance home & community care services, ensuring seamless case management and patient care continuity.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field; clinical licensure preferred LCSW, LCPC, LMFT
  • Extensive experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental challenges in behavioral health settings.
  • Proven expertise in addiction counseling, mental health treatment modalities such as psychotherapy and applied behavior analysis.
  • Strong skills in crisis management, patient assessment, intake procedures, and medical terminology related to behavioral health.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance, medical records management, CPT coding for billing purposes, and ICD coding systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate clients through motivational interviewing and child & family counseling techniques.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
