Manager of Warehouse Operations

A leading manufacturer of consumer products sold to major retailers across North America, Europe, and Asia, with headquarters in the Greater Los Angeles area, is seeking a highly experienced Manager of Warehouse Operations. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Position Overview:

The Manager of Warehouse Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functions of warehouse activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all warehouse functions including control, receipt, storage, retrieval, and shipment of inventory.
• Maintain proper operation of all warehouse machinery and equipment.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness, ensuring full compliance with government and company policies.
• Conduct and document regular safety meetings and training.
• Lead, develop, and evaluate warehouse staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Oversee a cycle count program and propose improvements to inventory accuracy.
• Maximize warehouse efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with retailer routing guides.
• Coordinate with freight companies and 3PLs to optimize shipping, receiving, and logistics operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in warehouse/distribution supervisory or management role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC applications.
• Familiarity with EDI, including Advance Ship Notices (ASNs).
• Experience working with manufacturers or distributors of consumer products for national retailers.
• Experience in import/export logistics and international shipping practices.
• Experience negotiating with freight companies and logistics partners.
• Familiarity with retail trade partners’ routing guides.
• Excellent communication skills, bilingual in Spanish/English is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
