Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Manager – Operations & Business to lead plant operations and drive business growth for Bitumen, Bitumen Emulsions, and Modified Bitumen (PMB/CRMB) products. The role involves overseeing production, quality, supply chain, sales coordination, and profitability while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage manufacturing operations of Bitumen Emulsions, PMB & CRMB.
• Ensure quality compliance as per BIS/IRC/MoRTH specifications.
• Plan production schedules and optimize plant utilization.
• Oversee inventory, procurement, and logistics of bulk and packed materials.
• Develop and manage relationships with contractors, EPC companies, and government bodies.
• Support tendering, pricing strategy, and business development activities.
• Monitor operational costs, margins, and overall profitability.
• Ensure adherence to HSE and statutory regulations.
• Lead and manage plant and support teams.

· Operational Reporting: Collate daily reports from the Sanand Plant (Production), Lab (Quality), and Logistics (Import/Export documentation).

· Supply Chain Follow-up: Coordinate with international vendors for raw material imports and domestic distributors for bitumen/petroleum sales.

· Strategic Business Growth: Analyze global petroleum price trends and currency fluctuations to assist the CEO in making procurement/pricing strategies.

· Third-Party Coordination: Liaise with Customs House Agents (CHAs), Port authorities, and industrial consultants for NABL or ISO certifications.

· Technical Execution: Monitor the progress of plant-level upgrades (e.g., the PMB plant setup or boiler maintenance) as directed by management.

· Inter-departmental Synergy: Ensure the Lab, Production, and Sales teams are aligned so that "Tested & Approved" stock is dispatched on time.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical/Civil/Mechanical preferred).
• 8–15 years of experience in Bitumen/Emulsion/Modified Bitumen industry.
• Strong knowledge of VG grades, emulsions (RS/MS/SS), PMB & CRMB.
• Experience in plant operations and road project supply.
• Strong leadership, commercial acumen, and problem-solving skills.

· Background in International Trade, Chemical, or Industrial Management.

· Analytical mindset to handle complex logistics and manufacturing data.

· Experience in dealing with industrial vendors and government regulatory bodies.

Follow-up Engine: Working alongside your personal assistant to ensure that every "To-Do" item from a meeting is completed by the respective team.

Strategy Meetings: Attending all core management meetings and preparing the Action Taken Report (ATR).
