As Manager, Payroll and Benefits, you will play a vital role in administering the timely and accurate processing of payroll, as well as the management and administration of employee benefits programs. This role will work closely with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure compliance with legal requirements, enhance employee satisfaction, and maintain smooth operations related to payroll and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will have experience with Paycom, a cloud-based HR and payroll solution, to optimize payroll processing and benefits management.

Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely processing for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and temporary staff.

Administer and oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, leave of absence, and other fringe benefits.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations.

Work with HR and Finance teams to ensure that all payroll data is accurate and up-to-date, including new hires, terminations, and changes to employee status.

Manage special projects within the HR System to provide better accountability and reporting, build efficiencies, and provide a positive payroll experience for all employees.

Manage the time and attendance system to ensure time is captured accurately and legally compliant.

Partner with third party customers and government agencies to provide prevailing wage reporting.

Use payroll system to process payroll, manage employee data, track benefits enrollments, and generate reports.

Address payroll and benefits-related inquiries from employees, providing exceptional customer service and resolving any issues or discrepancies.

Assist with year-end payroll processing, tax filings, and reporting.

Collaborate with other departments, such as HR and Finance, to ensure seamless integration between payroll, benefits, and other HR functions.

Implement and manage best practices for payroll and benefits administration.

Stay current with industry trends, tax laws, and best practices in payroll and benefits management.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).

3-5 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, with a focus on managing payroll and benefits processes.

Strong proficiency with Paycom, Paycor, or similar HRIS/payroll systems.

In-depth knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws.

Experience with benefits plan administration (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans, etc.).

Exceptional attention to detail, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Certification in payroll (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) or benefits (e.g., CEBS - Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) is a plus but not required.

Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) is a plus but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
