This position will be on-site at our Salt Lake City, UT headquarters with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in office and 1 day optional work from home.Summary:
The Manager, People Support provides day-to-day HR leadership and guidance to business leaders and team members, ensuring effective support in employee relations, workforce planning, and compliance with company policies. This role manages a team of People Partners, ensuring consistent HR practices, strong employee engagement, and effective collaboration with business functions. The Manager balances hands-on problem-solving with operational HR leadership, enabling a positive team member experience while driving organizational effectiveness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:-
Provide leadership to direct reports, including, but not limited to, hiring, training and development
- Support the development and monitoring of HR metrics and tracking mechanisms to measure program effectiveness.

Partner with leaders to address workforce needs, talent gaps, and organizational challenges.

Ensure HR policies and practices are consistently applied, escalating or recommending updates as needed.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies, and team member satisfaction in high-volume, customer-facing environments.

Partner with leaders on workforce planning to meet operational and staffing needs.
- Advise and counsel managers on employee relations matters, performance management, and engagement strategies.

Support change management initiatives by assisting with communication, training, and adoption efforts.

Collaborate across business units to ensure HR solutions align with organizational objectives.
Qualifications: Education-
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent, preferred

PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certifications, preferred
Qualifications: Experience-
3-5 yrs. experience as an HR Business Partner, People Partner, or similar role

2-3 years of supervisor or team lead experience

- Knowledge of current trends and practices relating to human resources, including all applicable state and federal laws

Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills, with ability to investigate and weigh alternatives and select appropriate course of action, driving activity to measurable results

Ability to work effectively and influence others in a diverse and dynamic work environment

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including strong listening and customer service skills with the ability to assess needs, evaluate satisfaction and ensure quality standards of service

Compensation & BenefitsPay Range: $115,000-$125,000/year DOE and Bonus Opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
