Manager, PMO - Automated Assembly

PAR Systems, a world leader in the design and development of cutting edge software, automation, and control systems across industries including Life Science, Aerospace, Nuclear, and Marine, is seeking a Manager, PMO to lead Project Management operations within the Automated Assembly business segment. This leader is directly responsible for providing Project Management leadership in the direction and management of all project deliverables. They ensure projects are delivered within agreed scope, schedule, and budget while cultivating an exceptional customer experience that inspires long-term partnership with PAR. All Project Managers within the segment report directly to this leader. Overall success in this position hinges on effective leadership, thoughtful training and selection of team members, and the ability to contribute individually to managing assigned projects.

Success Criteria:

What does it take to turn complex automation programs into predictable, high-performing outcomes? As Manager, PMO within the Automated Assembly business segment of PAR Systems, you will own the leadership, discipline, and operational excellence of the Project Management function. You will lead and develop the AA Project Management team, ensuring every project is delivered to its committed scope, schedule, and budget. You will align talent to active programs based on capability and demand, provide ongoing guidance and escalation support, and partner with senior leadership to communicate resource capacity and needs. You will oversee the full portfolio of projects, ensuring governance, accountability, and consistent execution standards across all phases.

In collaboration with Sales and Advance Engineering, you will review proposal and contract specifications to understand scope and complexity, interpret bid requirements, and support accurate estimating that balances business goals with competitive market realities. During execution, you will monitor financial performance, identify and resolve cost variances, support formal scope growth and change management, and safeguard project margins. You will actively manage risk across disciplines, coordinate with cross-functional leaders to prevent issues before they escalate, and ensure structured implementation of enterprise initiatives including KPI reporting, PCI, and CAPA programs. You will drive continuous improvement within the PM function, implementing process enhancements using effective change management strategies, while ensuring adaptable practices can scale across business segments.

Equally important, you will cultivate a collaborative, customer-focused culture. You will ensure strong working relationships across teams, reinforce clear communication, support customer program awareness, and partner with PM leaders across PAR to share best practices and elevate enterprise-wide performance. Your impact will be measured by the strength of the team you build, the predictability of project execution, the protection and growth of program margins, the effectiveness of cross-functional alignment, and the overall maturity and scalability of the Project Management organization.

We offer market competitive pay and benefits based upon the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. Our starting rate of pay for this salaried position is targeted at $130,000–160,000 annually and is bonus eligible.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience at a leadership level preferred
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field of study, preferably in engineering
  • Strong background in PMI Principles
  • Strong organizational, communications and project scheduling skills
  • Strong personnel leadership skills and personnel development abilities
  • Experience in custom automation within medical device and material handling industries is a plus
