We are looking for a results-driven
Injection Molding Production Department Head
to lead our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving continuous improvement and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities:

Production Planning & Execution
-
Develop and implement daily, weekly, and monthly production plans aligned with business targets and customer demand.

Performance Monitoring
-
Track and analyze KPIs including output, efficiency, rejection rates, downtime, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).

Resource Optimization
-
Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, injection molding machines, molds, auxiliary equipment, and raw materials.

Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Collaborate closely with PMC, inventory, quality assurance, maintenance, and purchase departments to ensure seamless production flow.

Standards & Compliance
-
Enforce SOPs, safety protocols, quality standards, and statutory requirements. Ensure ISO and regulatory compliance.

Breakdown Management
-
Monitor machine breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely corrective and preventive actions.

Scrap & Waste Control
-
Control scrap, rejection rates, regrind usage, and material wastage within defined limits to improve yield.

Mold Changeovers & Setup Reduction
-
Oversee mold changeover schedules and drive SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die) initiatives to reduce downtime.

Process Optimization
-
Ensure proper setting and monitoring of injection molding process parameters (temperature, pressure, cycle time, etc.) for consistent quality.

Reporting & Analysis
-
Review and approve shift production reports, efficiency analyses, and downtime summaries. Implement data-driven decision-making.

Continuous Improvement
-
Lead Lean, Kaizen, and 5S initiatives. Drive automation, process optimization, and cost reduction projects.

Team Leadership
-
Ensure proper training, skill development, discipline, and performance management of production staff, shift supervisors, and operators.

Root Cause Analysis
-
Lead RCA for major production losses, machine stoppages, and customer complaints. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

Preventive Maintenance Support
-
Work with maintenance to schedule and adhere to preventive maintenance plans for molds and machines.
-
Inventory & Material Handling
-
Monitor raw material consumption, regrind ratios, and material drying/handling processes as per material specifications.
Job Specification:
-
Bachelor's in Mechanical, Plastics, Polymer, or Industrial Engineering (or related field)
-
8–12 years in injection molding, including 3–5 years in a leadership role
-
Experience managing multi-shift operations
-
Strong knowledge of thermoplastics, molds, hydraulic/electric machines, auxiliary equipment, and materials (ABS, PP, PC, Nylon)

Hands-on with OEE, downtime analysis, scrap reduction, cycle time optimization, and RCA (8D/PDCA/DMAIC)
-
Experience in mold maintenance, manpower planning, cost control, and HSE/safety audits
-
Familiar with ISO 9001, ERP/MES, and MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
