Job Brief

We are looking for a strong and smart Manager Purchase to lead the buying team.

You will handle all purchase work, both in India and from other countries. You will talk to vendors, place orders, manage stock, and make sure products reach the warehouse on time.

Your work will help the sales and dispatch teams serve customers without delay. If you are good at planning, negotiating, and leading a team, this role is for you.

This is a key role that works closely with the Managing Director and other departments.

Responsibilities

Domestic & International Procurement

• Source and buy products from India and overseas (Europe, China, Southeast Asia, etc.).
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Handle the full import process (invoice, advance payment, shipping, customs clearance).
• Work with freight forwarders and customs agents.

Inventory & Stock Planning

• Maintain proper stock as per Minimum Stock Levels (MSL).
• Avoid stock-outs and overstocking.
• Plan for slow-moving and dead stock.

Purchase Orders (PO) Management

• Issue and review POs on time.
• Ensure PO accuracy.
• Align PO and payment schedules with Finance.

Vendor Management

• Build strong vendor relationships.
• Review vendor performance regularly.
• Add new vendors when needed.
• Ensure the best cost within the budget.

Planning & Reporting

• Prepare monthly and quarterly purchase plans.
• Track lead time and stock movement.
• Share MIS reports with management.
• Update Item Master in ERP.

Team Leadership

• Guide and support the purchase team.
• Assign daily tasks and track progress.
• Train team members for better performance.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Postgraduate in Business Administration or Commerce.
• 10 to 12+ years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of import documentation.
• Experience in domestic and international sourcing.
• Good negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of ERP and Excel.
• Strong planning and leadership skills.
