The Manager - Quality, Claims & HSSE will be responsible for leading all aspects of Quality, Claims, and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) for Kanoo Shipping in Saudi Arabia. This role is a direct report to the Vice President and requires a leader who can manage comprehensive systems, handle claims efficiently, and champion a culture of continuous improvement and compliance across all branches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Quality & HSSE System Management: Implement and maintain robust management systems based on ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environment) standards.
  • Auditing & Compliance: Plan and execute internal audits of our Quality and HSSE systems. Conduct regular inspections and audits of all Kanoo Shipping branches across KSA to ensure full compliance with established standards and company policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain and update all necessary documentation for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 certifications. Organize and document Management Review Meetings, including minutes and record-keeping.
  • Claims Handling: Efficiently and effectively handle all claims and related matters. This includes detailed investigations, coordinating with branch focal points, and liaising with the legal team to safeguard the interests of both our Principals and Kanoo Shipping.
  • Issue Resolution: Manage customer complaints by conducting thorough investigations and identifying effective corrective actions. Coordinate with branches to ensure all action points from audits, reviews, and investigations are implemented promptly.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Report regularly to the Vice President on the status of QHSE initiatives, audit findings, and claims resolutions. You will be a key leader in fostering a proactive and compliant work environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management).
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 4-5 years in a managerial position within the shipping, logistics, or maritime industry.
  • Proven experience in implementing and maintaining management systems for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001.
  • Lead Auditor certifications for these ISO standards are highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling commercial claims and coordinating with legal teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both English and Arabic is a significant advantage.
  • A valid KSA driving license is required.
