Manager – Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE)

Major Functions-

Shall be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management system that complies with the requirements of ISO 17025:2017 Laboratory Quality Management System in Wimpey Laboratories, Dubai, Integrated Management System that complies with the requirement of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018. Reporting on the performance of the quality system by identifying problems affecting quality and company requirements to the top management for review and basis for the improvement in the quality system and HSE.

Relationships-

QHSE Manager will work under the direction of the Managing Director.

Major Duties and Responsibilities-

To manage the implementation, maintenance and improvement of management system that complies with the requirements of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001. Ensure that the objectives of an appropriate quality system in Wimpey Laboratories, Dubai are achieved.

Responsible for the identification of deviations from the management system or from the procedures for performing laboratory activities and initiation of actions to prevent or minimize such deviations.

Reporting to the top management regarding the performance of management system and any needs in improvement. Ensure the effectiveness of the laboratory activities.

To develop and implement quality assurance standards, processes, and controls.

To assist in developing and conducting employee Continuous Quality Improvement training, including accurate application on the job.

Maintain a master schedule of quality system auditing, internal auditing in all departments, updates, and reviews.

Attend and participate in all company management team meetings.

Business travel required throughout the ME region for the implementation and maintenance of QMS system within the region.

To manage the communication and actions regarding quality for non-conforming products.

To develop and action activities that result from the investigations of customer complaint. Reduce customer complaint by 2% in every quarter.

To carry out investigations, monitor trends and report on findings, including recommendations for improvement, to resolve issues associated with our Inspection / testing services.

To carry out internal and external QMS Audits (suppliers / subcontractor premises when necessary) against systems and procedures to check compliance with working practice, Internal and International Standards, and regulatory requirements.

Monitor the effectiveness of any corrective and preventive actions and take appropriate action in conjunction with managers.

Ensure the effectiveness of Quality management system, environmental management system and occupational health and safety management. Establish QHSE training plan per year and implement as per the plan.

Make presentations and deliver training to promote the requirements of the QMS Management Systems, regulatory requirements, and best practice.

To assist other department Managers in ensuring objectives of Quality system are obtained by WIMPEY.

Provide adequate support to sales, technical, admin, Cotecna group employees, Abu Dhabi QA/QC Team, and compliances.

Competence Requirements-

Education /Qualification: Graduate /Postgraduate with knowledge in ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.

Experience & other skills- Minimum 4 year of in a testing laboratory or any related field.

Training: Internal auditor training for ISO/IEC 17025:2017, IMS training for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
