Humann is seeking a Manager, Retail Operations & Distribution to own the executional backbone of our retail business. This role is responsible for end-to-end retail operations, including order management, inventory reconciliation, retail system integrations, and item setup across a complex network of retailers, distributors, and platforms.

This execution-focused role serves as the connective tissue between Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Operations—ensuring what we sell flows efficiently from order through delivery, reconciliation, and scale.

Order Management & Distribution

  • Own end-to-end retail order management across EDI and manual channels, ensuring accurate order processing, shipment coordination, and compliance with retailer requirements.
  • Manage EDI maintenance and retailer integrations across SPS Commerce and customer-specific platforms.
  • Coordinate with 3PLs, distributors, and internal supply chain teams to manage product flow from order through delivery, including routing, compliance, inventory allocation, and execution.
  • Oversee outbound freight and retailer routing processes, including collect workflows (e.g., GNC, Target) and pickup coordination through retailer portals such as GNC Manhattan and Target Partners Online (POL).
  • Execute against retailer routing guides and compliance requirements to support accurate and timely fulfillment.
  • Troubleshoot order discrepancies, routing issues, and compliance errors to minimize chargebacks and operational disruptions across both direct and distributor channels.

Inventory & Financial Reconciliation

  • Execute end-of-month order reconciliation activities to ensure alignment across shipments, billing, and inventory.
  • Maintain accurate inventory positions across ERP systems, 3PLs, and retail channels; investigate discrepancies and lead resolution efforts.
  • Reconcile invoices, deductions, and chargebacks in partnership with Finance; track and resolve retailer claims and validate chargeback accuracy.

Item Setup, Systems & Data Management

  • Maintain retailer compliance and item setup across customer portals and internal systems.
  • Lead end-to-end item setup across retailer and distributor platforms, ensuring accurate product data, compliance execution, and seamless onboarding across systems including RIVIR, WERCS, SmartRx, and retailer NIFs
  • Coordinate cross-functional readiness for product launches, including packaging, compliance, retailer setup, and system configuration.

Process Excellence & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Build and maintain SOPs across order management, inventory reconciliation, and retail operations workflows
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement scalable process improvements to support operational accuracy and growth
  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Operations, retailers, distributors, and 3PLs to drive executional excellence

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience (5+ preferred) in retail operations, order management, customer operations, or supply chain within a CPG environment.
  • Hands-on experience managing EDI workflows, retailer compliance requirements, retailer portals, and cross-functional operational execution.
  • Experience supporting major retail accounts and distributor-based fulfillment models in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, troubleshoot operational issues, and drive execution across retailers, distributors, 3PLs, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, communication, and ownership mindset.
  • Preferred experience with retailer and operational platforms including SPS Commerce, RIVIR (IX-One), WERCS, SmartRx, and retailer-specific systems.
