Reporting organizationally to the FIFA26 Senior Manager, Stadium Safety & Security, the Manager, Stadium Interior Security will be a key member of the FIFA26 Safety & Security team. This critical role will assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of the comprehensive safety and security functions within the stadiums. They support the Senior Manager, Stadium to develop detailed security plans, support training and onboarding of staff, and be an integral part of match day safety and security operations. In addition, working closely with FIFA counterparts from the Safety and Security Department, this role will support the implementation of the FIFA26 emergency preparedness and Command, Control, Communications and Coordination (C4) plans from the stadium perspective.

The main responsibilities and oversights include:

  • Implement safety and security strategy, aligned with the objectives of FIFA26 and FIFA Zurich
  • Assist with the development of and execution of plans that ensure a coordinated and measured approach that reflects the highest standards of safety, security, and service
  • Manage a multifaceted team responsible for delivering across a range of safety and security areas, including third parties (suppliers, local security teams, etc.).
  • Participate on the multi-agency, multi-country Safety and Security Working Groups and serve as one of the FIFA26 representative on various other workshops and joint coordination groups related to the stadium under their scope.
  • Liaison with all appropriate venue, stakeholders, state, and local security agencies to support overall World Cup security coordination and execution, and prevent and respond to potential security threats and incidents.
  • Conduct safety and security assessments of the World Cup stadium within existing scope and implement appropriate measures to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
  • Work closely with other FIFA26 partners and departments, including Venue Management, Planning & Integration, Host City Management, Facilities, Operations, Technology and Cybersecurity, and Legal to ensure that safety and security considerations are integrated into all execution processes.
  • Support efforts with the Host City Committees and FIFA World Cup 2026™ Venue Teams to incorporate best their requirements into overall safety and security strategies.
  • Manage the implementation of safety and security protocols related to asset protection, crowd management, access control, and other services for all client groups at the stadium.
  • Support training and operational readiness activities to prepare staff for match day operations
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of safety and security operations at the stadium and present to Senior Manager for Safety and Security in support of regular and ad-hoc reporting to the Safety & Security executive leadership team
  • Support match day operations, including but not limited to, operational readiness, coordination of preparatory meetings, operational coordination of security resources, reporting during match operations, supporting security resources in the field, issue resolution and management, and end of day reporting

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field associated with safety, security or event management.

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing safety and security for large, complex organizations, with a focus on stadium safety and security operations. FIFA Tournaments and private security management experience to be considered a plus.
  • Knowledge of sport event safety and security planning and best practices.
  • Deep understanding of risk management, crisis response, and emergency preparedness.
  • Proven track-record in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders for a high-profile organization.
  • Experience leading safety and security, or other teams, in high stress and high-pressure environments. Experience managing safety and security third party suppliers and other vendors.
  • Project Management and reporting experience
  • Stadium operations related qualifications/experience will be considered a great advantage.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience of the FIFA Stadium Safety and Security Regulations is a plus.

Languages

  • Fluent in English
  • Spanish and/or French proficiency is a plus

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools
